Today's young dancers are aware of the variety of styles that are available to them and their dance training however if they wish to pursue a career it is inevitable that they will need strong classical skills. The Junior Division will have a strong classical focus however it is also important for young dancers to become aware of Contemporary Dance so that they can make an informed decision perhaps to take GCSE or A Level Dance. Giving them opportunities to choreograph and improvise will allow them to understand how to choreograph a dance but also give them the freedom to experiment and use their imagination to create pieces.
